Oklahoma City is OK


Two downtown stadiums (including one for a triple A baseball team), a riverwalk, bike paths, and a coming street car system. What can ABQ learn from Oklahoma City? Did you go to the luncheon by chance? I liked that the mayor of OKC was very candid and admitted that it took a disaster for their city to rally together behind a vision and purpose. Here we sit with mountains, a large research institution, as well as arts and unique culture and we have little vision. I'm kinda diggin where Mayor Barry is leading us, though. Now if we can just change the makeup of the City Council...

A really great place, I remember a place like this in Macau that is called gondola, where you will ride a boat and the driver will serenade you with an opera kind of song. Really refreshing, wish to visit this place too. However, you can fine Albuquerque accommodations here.

I just returned from my former and longtime home, San Antonio, and was a bit wistful that we don't have the kind of energetic and booming downtown that they do (even in their economic slump). I don't exactly propose restaurants along the Bosque, though it would be nice of at least one of them had a view of the river.
I just plain miss water I guess.
